Summer update! I've been riding a lot more than I expected to be able to. I have a job at a summer camp so there isn't always time to drive home for a ride. I'm loving my summer so far though, and have found plenty of opportunities to go home for rides. I take a lesson every other week and ride a few times in between at my barn at home. I've been doing a lot of bareback rides and trail rides of course, but I work on other things in my lessons too. Hope you're all having a great summer!!

1st Summer Update

I rode a few days ago here at home at the barn I grew up at. My old instructor rode with me and said that I've improved quite a bit, so thank you Bryn and Becky! I got to ride one of their lesson horses, Cowboy, who is a thoroughbred cross. I hope to ride there a lot more this summer. Hope you're all doing well!

Week of March 17th

This week I practice rode Fiona on Thursday. She was a little sore from her shots but she was really forward and nice. Then on Friday I rode Jax for my lesson and he was great. I really enjoyed riding him.

Week of February 24th

Sorry it's so late! But last week I rode Fiona bareback on Thursday for my practice ride and she was wonderful. She was forward and round pretty much the whole time. On Friday I had another lesson on Asti, who I have fallen in love with. He is so much fun to ride. We did a little jumping which was also a lot of fun.

Week of February 11th

Last Thursday I had a practice ride with Addie and I rode Fiona bareback. Funny story: I had her quarter sheet on and it started sliding off but I was in the zone so I didn't want to stop and fix it right away. As I was riding down the rail the end of the sheet got caught on the doors into the arena and it ripped off. My first thought was of The Incredibles when Edna talks about how nothing good comes of wearing capes. Then I felt a little like a stripper who had velcro clothing on. Addie and I had to take a solid 5 minute laughing break. Fi was not impressed. But it was a good ride :) I also had a lesson on Friday with Majic. He was lovely, as usual.
